Opening Kitchen Team MemberThe Opening Kitchen Team Member role is a unique opportunity that provides you with the ability to contribute to a high-performing team on a consistent schedule every day. Each morning at 05:30am, these Team Members arrive at the restaurant to put away inventory, start up equipment, and prepare the restaurant for breakfast/lunch service. This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication and the ability to multi-task. You will have the unbelievable opportunity to learn from our experienced Kitchen Managers, Operations Directors, and a local Owner/Operator that is committed to working full-time in the restaurant. This role will develop you quickly, and historically, many of our opening Team Members have leveraged this development into a rapid promotion to Shift Lead or Manager!The pay range for this role varies based on a number of factors, including full-time vs. part-time status, relevant experience, and availability.Position Type:Full-time or Part-time (05:30am - 1:00pm schedule)Our Benefits Include:Competitive payFree break meal during each shift workedFree online college degree programs through University of the Cumberlands (120 different associate, bachelor's, and master's programs)Additional scholarship opportunities through Chick-fil-A's Remarkable Futures Scholarship ProgramA fun work environment where you can positively influence othersIntentional growth and development to help you reach your professional goalsOpening Kitchen Team Member Responsibilities:Put away and rotate all delivered inventory items using FIFO (first in first out)Develop and maintain proficiency with all kitchen equipment to enable a successful start-up each morningSet up each station in the kitchen to prepare for service not later that 06:25amPrepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standardsDemonstrate proficiency in all opening positions (rotation, breading, food prep, food assembly, inventory receipt, etc.)Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times to facilitate the accomplishment of our food safety goalsWork safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to LeadershipMaintain professional knowledge and pursue continuous growth by completing in-house trainingComplete all opening tasks as assigned by kitchen managers and the restaurant's senior leadership teamAdhere to all Chick-fil-A policies and dress code at all timesPerform any other duties as assignedQualifications and Requirements:Must be at least 16 years of ageReliable transportationSelfless and positive attitudeLoves serving and helping othersStrong interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented and able to multitaskWorks well independently and in a team environmentHave the ability to lift and carry 50 poundsHave the ability to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to pass a background checkMost Chick-fil-A® Restaurants are operated by independent franchised business owners who make all their own employment decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.
