Occupational Therapist OT

Job Summary We seek a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with the birth to three and three to five age teams in a school setting. The OT will provide specialized therapeutic services aimed at supporting the developmental needs of young children. The role requires effective collaboration with educators and families to enhance the children's functional abilities and participation in school activities. This is a school year position based in Roseburg, OR, requiring an active Oregon OT license and a commitment to delivering quality care within educational environments. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to children aged birth to five years within school-based programs. Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's developmental needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to support child development. Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements. Participate in team meetings and contribute to program planning and development. Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of children in educational settings. Required Skills & Certifications Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Oregon. Experience or interest in working with birth to three and three to five age groups. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, families, and educational staff. Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Minimum of less than 1 year experience acceptable, with a willingness to learn and grow in the school setting. Preferred Skills & Certifications Prior experience working in school or pediatric settings. Knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in educational environments. Special Considerations Position is school year only; no pay for school holidays or closings. Work is Monday through Friday during school hours. Candidates must have reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Roseburg, OR. Scheduling Full-time, Monday to Friday schedule aligned with the school calendar. Expected 40 hours per week during active school days.
