We are currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Specialist to support attorneys and paralegals in handling a wide range of responsibilities for commercial mortgage loan transactions.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with title companies, clients, borrower's counsel, and third parties to facilitate commercial mortgage loan closings.
• Support in-house attorneys with legal due diligence matters and maintain updated legal closing checklists.
• Maintain organized loan files and pre-closing checklists throughout the pre-closing process.
• Monitor, download, and organize documentation from virtual data room platforms.
• Coordinate the transmission and receipt of signature pages from all transaction parties; review executed signature pages for accuracy and completeness for loan closing and recording.
• Prepare UCC financing statements and escrow instruction letters addressing document recording, closing matters, fund disbursement and delivery of documents post-closing.
• Research and verify property tax due dates and payment status to ensure compliance and identify any outstanding obligations prior to closing.
• Draft and maintain open items lists in preparation for loan closings.
• Collect, organize, and transmit invoices associated with loan closings.
• Assemble original loan documents in preparation for closing.
• Confirm receipt of all items required to close and authorize funding.
• Review and approve closing statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare loan closing binders.
• Manage post-closing distribution of documents, including original loan files.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and effectively learn and use firm-specific software, office technology, and related programs upon completion of training.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with attorneys, business professionals and others in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, complex transactional environment.
• Ability to manage a large volume of emails across multiple matters and respond promptly.
• Strong proofreading skills, including the ability to identify contextual, grammatical, typographical and spelling errors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in person, by e-mail and by telephone.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and business professionals and provide information with courtesy and tact.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to exercise a moderate level of discretion and independent judgment.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks and objectives in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours.
