Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Variable Rotating Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per nurse within an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified
• Perform lab draws, administer nebulizer treatments, and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time requirement, including a minimum 2-hour callback commitment within each 6-week period
• Float to additional emergency department locations as needed within the region

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (ARC or AHA accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Minimum of 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience (firm requirement)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, multi-specialty emergency environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to change in a dynamic setting
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
