Driver/Warehouse Associate

DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the industrial safety, Fire, and EMS distribution business, is looking for credible and motivated Operational Specialist with a "whatever it takes" attitude.

The main responsibility of this position is to provide accurate and efficient Warehouse and onsite Quality Customer support with safety being a priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Always focus on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to.
• Load and deliver product/skids on scheduled routes. Utilizing a 26' non-CDL box truck. (Estimated 60%-80%).
• Various Warehouse activity, including but not limited to - picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and putting stock away. (Estimate-20% to 40%).
• Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required.
• Complete cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
• Must complete daily vehicle inspection and make direct supervisor aware of any issues that might require attention.
• Report any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
• Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisors in alignment with other members of the management team.
• Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management.

Skills and Requirements:

• Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical with drug screen.
• Strong organizational, detail oriented, self-motivated and strong time management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Valid Driver's License. (16' or 26' box truck, non-CDL).
• Experienced with warehouse equipment including forklifts, electric pallet trucks, elevated work platforms, and manual pallet jacks. (Preferred)
• Experience driving a box truck for delivery services (Preferred)
• Experience with handheld equipment, like RF scanners, palm devices, and/or tablets. (Preferred)
• Basic computer skills a must, AS400 experience a plus.
• High school diploma / GED equivalent.
