Fuel Dock Attendant

Job description A fuel dock attendant safely dispenses gasoline and diesel to boats, processes payments, and assists boaters with docking and line handling. They act as the face of the marina, providing customer service while stringently enforcing safety and environmental regulations to prevent spills. You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to work weekends. Key Responsibilities Vessel Fueling: Securely tie off boats, handle heavy fuel nozzles, and accurately pump gas or diesel into marine tanks. Dock Assistance: Catch dock lines, tie boats off safely, and guide boaters safely into and out of narrow slips or transient docks. Customer Service: Greet boaters, answer questions about marina amenities, and handle cash or credit card transactions for fuel and convenience items (e.g., ice, bait, snacks). Safety & Compliance: Enforce "no smoking" and engine shut-off rules, monitor for fuel spills, and deploy containment booms or absorbent pads if a spill occurs. Dock Maintenance: Keep the fuel dock clear of hazards, empty trash bins, and clean the dock area.
