About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Medical Affairs - Global Engagement Strategy to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global strategy for engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific experts, and medical/scientific societies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's scientific and medical voice is strategically amplified and that external insights are effectively integrated into medical and development strategies. This pivotal leadership role requires an individual with an advanced clinical or scientific degree, a minimum of 10 years' progressive clinical and/or medical affairs experience, and a proven track record in global or regional KOL engagement and medical society relations. The VP will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to cultivate and maintain strong, compliant relationships, and will be instrumental in aligning KOL engagement strategies with global medical affairs plans and corporate objectives. Key responsibilities for the VP include developing and implementing a global KOL engagement strategy, leading a Global KOL Working Group, and managing KOL engagement programming. The role also involves representing the company at key scientific events, fostering relationships, and gathering competitive intelligence. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a high degree of professionalism and integrity. They should be adept at influencing within a complex global matrix organization and be prepared for global travel as required. The position demands a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, who can ensure that all KOL and society engagement activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
