Licensed Practical Nurse - Behavioral Health

MO-SSM Health is seeking a Nursing Staff for DePaul Hospital – Behavioral Health. The role is located at 3440 DePaul Drive, Missouri. This is a full-time night shift position with 12‑hour rotations and weekend/holiday coverage. Sign‑On Bonus Eligible external new employees will receive a $10,000 sign‑on bonus paid on the second paycheck, contingent upon a two‑year service commitment. Job Summary Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Primary Responsibilities Contribute to the assessment of patients and ensure their well‑being. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols. Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions. Perform point‑of‑care testing and therapeutic services. Educate patients/families about treatment plans, including self‑care after discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow‑up care. Apply professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model and use the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide care. Maintain constant alertness and safe practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited nursing school or educational equivalency for licensing. No prior experience required. Physical Requirements Constant use of speech, standing, walking, lifting/carrying objects weighing 0–25 lbs, frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use, vision, smell, hearing. Occasional lifting of 25–50 lbs and patients, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, repetitive movements, occasional driving, rare crawling or running. Licensure & Certifications State of Missouri licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Nurse Licensure issued by Compact State. Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA). Work Shift Night Shift (United States of America), rotating weekends and holidays.
