CNC Machinist

Minimum 3 years of independent CNC machine setup experience. GD&T proficiency — Strong ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and detailed manufacturing drawings. Set up and operate 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis CNC lathes and mills for complex aerospace and precision‑machined components. Blueprint interpretation — Read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and GD&T feature callouts to ensure accurate machining. Ensure all machinery is in proper working condition. Create CNC programming for fabrication and machining. Control machines and processes to meet production requirements. Operate and maintain CNC lathes, mills, and/or gear grinders, as well as hand and power tools as required. Set up CNC machines independently with accuracy and efficiency. Interpret GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings to ensure proper machining operations. Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and establish machining strategies. Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, comparators, and thread plug gauges to verify part quality. Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout all production activities. Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma. CNC machining experience. Machine shop environment background. Basic hand tool knowledge. Minimum 3 years of CNC machine setup experience without supervision. Skilled in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings. Experience operating CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear‑shaping equipment. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Ability to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
