Senior Technical Project Manager — Boston, MA (On-site)

HRUCKUS, a Veteran-Owned consulting and recruiting firm, is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager for an on-site role with our client — a product-engineering company building integrated hardware and software systems in the Boston area.

If you’re a Boston-based, engineering-grounded project manager who can run Hybrid Agile delivery across hardware and software teams — and you’ve genuinely served as a Scrum Master, not just worked near one — this is a hands-on, high-impact seat.

About the role

You’ll own delivery on key client projects end to end — scope, schedule, budget, and risk. You’ll serve as Scrum Master for two or more technical product-development teams, run the Agile cadence, build and maintain the master schedule, and keep technical and non-technical stakeholders aligned, including the client.

What you’ll do

• Manage key client projects start to finish — deadlines, responsibilities, scope, and budget.
• Serve as Scrum Master for two or more product-development teams; run daily and weekly stand-ups.
• Facilitate Hybrid Agile processes in a hardware-and-software product engineering environment.
• Build and maintain weekly schedules and status reporting in Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheets.
• Own the backlog: write Epics and user stories, break them into estimated tasks, and organize sprints for incremental delivery.
• Track work with Kanban tooling (Zenhub).
• Coordinate across departments and directly with clients to keep deliverables on scope and on budget.
• Proactively surface and clear impediments and risks.

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years in engineering and technical program/project management.
• 5+ years in a dedicated project manager role.
• 5+ years hands-on as a practicing Scrum Master.
• Experience delivering in a hardware AND software engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of Zenhub or similar Kanban tools.
• Ability to build project schedules in Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheets.
• Local to Boston and available to work on-site — no relocation.
• Valid driver’s license; comfortable with site visits (lifting ~30 lbs, hard hat, manufacturing/engineering floor).

Nice to have

• Active Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality standards.
