Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist supports the brokerage operation by ensuring accurate, timely entry and auditing of billing charges, maintaining billing documentation, and responding to internal and external billing inquiries. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and confirm the accuracy of all charges and expenses for files to be billed.
• Enter all charges and expenses into the billing system for manual rating.
• Collect and scan documents into the document imaging system to create complete billing packets and improve visibility.
• Ensure charges are entered timely and audit entries so DSV can bill the client (DSV routed cargo).
• Enter charges, print invoices, and mail invoices with applicable documentation to clients (Non-DSV cargo).
• Process and record direct deposits and electronic bill payments for the brokerage operation.
• Confirm duty payment status and bill when necessary.
• Maintain the customer billing matrix in the brokerage system.
• Order and maintain inventory of office supplies for the brokerage operation.
• Proactively identify and resolve brokerage billing-related issues.
• Work primarily from daily and weekly spreadsheets to manage billing activity.
• Respond to emails regarding billing rates and billing-related questions.

Required Qualifications:

• 1–2+ years of relevant billing, accounting, brokerage, logistics, or invoicing experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision .

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing .
• Professional communication skills required for day-to-day correspondence with internal and external clients.

Computer Skills:

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel .

Language Skills:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English and the local country language .

Pay Range:

$20.00 – $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, and/or certifications.
