Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual surface grinders and other precision grinding equipment.
- Grind and finish tooling to tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Read blueprints and follow detailed specifications.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain equipment and keep a clean, safe work area.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating manual/vintage surface grinders (non-CNC required).
- Background as a tool & die maker, machinist, manual machinist, precision grinder, millwright, carpenter with precision fabrication experience, or automotive machinist/mechanic is highly transferable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision measurements.
- Able to work independently and produce high-quality work.
