What You'll Do
- Set up and coordinate CT/X-ray imaging procedures according to patient needs and department protocols
- Position and transfer patients using accepted safety and lifting standards; apply immobilization devices as needed
- Verify patient identity and collect required information, including allergies and relevant medical history
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously when required by protocol, and monitor patients as needed
- Capture, develop, and manage images for permanent recordkeeping, including electronic capture, storage, transfer, and copying
- Maintain image quality through calibration and daily quality control per department guidelines
- Monitor patients for potential allergic reactions and respond appropriately; assist with emergency situations including basic CPR
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure adequate supplies are available
