Payroll & Accounting SpecialistOur client, a well-established Electric company in Lincoln, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join their team.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the consistency of accounting work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in managing the essential day-to-day financial functions of a business. This is not a stepping-stone role—we're looking for someone who values stability and enjoys the routine of weekly and monthly accounting responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Manage payroll taxes, filings, and compliance requirementsHandle employee deductions including garnishments, child support, and benefitsMaintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulationsAssist with job costing, labor tracking, and basic construction-related accountingSupport weekly and monthly accounting processes including reconciliationsQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)3+ years of experience in payroll and accounting (construction experience strongly preferred)Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and deductionsExperience handling garnishments, child support, and related complianceFamiliarity with construction payroll, job costing, or certified payroll is a plusHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage recurring deadlinesWhat We're Looking For:Someone who enjoys the routine and structure of accounting workA reliable, steady professional who takes pride in consistency and accuracyA team player looking for a long-term, stable role (not a fast-track advancement position)Compensation:Salary: $80,000 – $95,000Direct hire opportunity with a stable and growing organizationBenefits:401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offExperience:Accounting: 5 years (Required)Payroll management: 1 year (Required)
