Registered Nurse

Responsible for providing care to patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses. Must be comfortable working with patients with dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fractures. Experience in protocols and management of patients requiring critical monitoring is essential. The role involves utilizing rapid response teams and performing cardiac monitoring as needed. Must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips effectively. Communication and documentation are conducted through an electronic health record system. Expected to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services and pharmacy. Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs. Adherence to safety protocols and continuous patient monitoring is vital.
