Industrial Laboratory Manager

CLIENT is a precious metals recycler specializing in the recovery of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) from automotive and industrial catalysts. Globally sourced scrap materials are refined into high-purity metals, returned to the market, and used across a wide variety of industries.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on laboratory professional who is highly focused on accuracy, precision, and production performance. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in daily analytical operations while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and established procedures.

This position is designed as a 2–3 year developmental track toward promotion to Laboratory Manager. During this period, the candidate will progressively assume increased responsibility, including leadership development, workflow oversight, quality control, and team coordination, in preparation for managing laboratory operations.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills or demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to develop them:

• Analytical experience using ICP and XRF instruments.
• Wet laboratory experience using standard equipment and tools.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Precisely follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Effective leadership skills to guide, support, and mentor team members.
• Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as need to meet operational demands.
