Metadata & Data Mapping Analyst

Core Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and manage enterprise business and technical metadata
• Develop detailed source-to-target data mappings (STTM) including transformations, hierarchies, and business rules
• Maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data lineage documentation
• Ensure consistency across business definitions, logical models, and physical data implementations
• Partner with business and technical teams to capture and validate data requirements
• Support data governance, data quality rules, and stewardship frameworks
• Ensure compliance with BCBS 239 principles (traceability, accuracy, completeness, timeliness)
• Support regulatory reporting, audit, and risk data initiatives
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and UAT support
• Identify data quality gaps and drive remediation efforts
• Participate in Agile delivery and impact analysis for data changes
• Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and governance-related client discussions
• Lead and mentor small teams of analysts, including task allocation and quality review

Required Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in data analysis, metadata management, or data mapping
• Strong hands-on experience in source-to-target data mapping in complex enterprise environments
• Experience in banking or financial services domain (Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting preferred)
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks
• Experience supporting BCBS 239 compliance or similar regulatory programs
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into structured data artifacts
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with metadata tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ab Initio, or similar)
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience in regulatory reporting, stress testing, or risk data aggregation programs
• Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models
