Plant Manager-Chemical
Location: West Sacramento, California
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday (standard business hours, onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at a small-scale manufacturing facility in West Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and leading a team in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a solid background in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management
Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient and safe production
Monitor production performance metrics and implement improvements
Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes, increase productivity, and reduce costs

Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Team Leadership
Hire, train, evaluate, and manage plant staff
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement (5S, Lean practices)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Maintenance Oversight
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
Ensure all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently

Crisis Management
Respond to operational emergencies such as equipment failures or safety incidents
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, including leadership responsibilities
Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and manufacturing best practices
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, etc.)
Hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple functions in a small team environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work onsite in West Sacramento, CA
