Autism Support Specialist (Children & Families) Location: Westwood, MA Annual Salary: $53,587 Overview LifeWorks provides advocacy, empowerment, and opportunities to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. As a member of our team, you will support children and families with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by facilitating programs and services that enhance quality of life. Responsibilities Help develop, organize, and facilitate activities and programs at our center and in the community. Work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends, to meet the needs of individuals and facilitate programs. Meet with new and existing referrals to assist with benefits applications and informational resources. Assist in the facilitation of workshops and trainings on topics pertinent to the ASD population. Develop material and outreach efforts, including newsletters, community offerings, and current research. Help form community collaborations and partnerships that benefit those we serve. Maintain excellent interpersonal skills. Multitask and prioritize tasks with attention to detail. Work effectively in a team environment. Occasional travel throughout the Newton/South Norfolk & Metro‑Boston area. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with ID/DD. Bachelor’s degree. Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC, and driving background checks. Valid driver’s license required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
