Assembler

This position involves building, assembling, and preparing custom wood crates, boxes, and pallets to ensure product protection during shipping and storage. The role operates within an industrial and warehouse environment, requiring safe handling of hand tools and measurement equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. Success in this position means efficiently completing assembly tasks, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring high-quality, sturdy crates and pallets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble wood crates, boxes, and pallets according to specifications and blueprints.
• Fasten materials using hand tools such as hammers, nails, screws, staple guns, and screwdrivers.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, or packing instructions.
• Inspect finished crates to ensure quality and structural integrity.
• Load, unload, and move materials within the facility.
• Assist with packing products securely into crates.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
• Support team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Use basic measuring tools, including tape measures, for quality assurance.
• Work in a warehouse or shop environment with exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Use PPE as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including proficiency with tape measures.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or woodworking.

Tools / Equipment / Systems:

• Hand tools: hammer, nails, screws, staple gun, screwdriver.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, bending, kneeling, performing repetitive tasks.
• Warehouse/shop setting with exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• PPE required.
