Job Title: Senior Compliance AssociateJob Description

The Senior Associate, Construction Compliance, is responsible for supporting construction compliance activities, including Prevailing Wages & Apprenticeship compliance, Davis-Bacon Act compliance, Local and Domestic Content compliance, document control structures, auditing processes, and managing reporting within the Construction Compliance team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all construction compliance activities in the project throughout its lifecycle to deliver project deliverables to the required scope and schedule.

  • Manage workload across multiple projects, providing seamless milestone delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Represent the company in discussions with stakeholders, third-party consultants, and project customers.

  • Manage project deliverables across multiple contractors and scopes to ensure adherence to project schedule.

  • Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner.

  • Establish and lead regular project meetings and communications to ensure construction compliance deliverables are met.

  • Identify and evaluate risks and work with internal and external stakeholders to escalate and mitigate project risks related to construction compliance.

  • Leverage the construction project management system to provide regular project status updates.

  • Oversee and manage relevant regulatory requirements to support construction tax benefits.

  • Evaluate draft contracts and proposals for appropriate compliance language and provide feedback.

  • Implement and manage document control processes to ensure accuracy, organization, and accessibility of compliance-related documents.

  • Partner with Senior leaders to develop and implement initiatives that are complex in scope.

  • Conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for new team members and junior associates.

  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders and leaders regarding compliance requirements and best practices.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or regulatory roles.

  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

  • Experience in document control and/or process auditing.

  • Experience with Prevailing Wage, Davis-Bacon Act, and Local Content Compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to prevailing wage, apprenticeship programs, Davis-Bacon Act, and local content requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of renewable energy experience.

  • 1+ years of construction experience.

  • Proficiency in document control systems and auditing methodologies.

  • Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface.

Work Environment

The position requires five days in the office.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
