College Mental Health ProfessionalStudent Health and Counseling seeks a skilled clinician with experience in college counseling and/or equivalent settings. The Counseling team is part of a multidisciplinary clinical group embedded in the Wellness Center, collaborating with Student Health as well as Public Health and Wellbeing to offer a range of services to the University of Pennsylvania student community.Principal Responsibilities and Duties:Assessment of incoming studentsIndividual psychotherapyGroup treatment facilitationCrisis evaluation and managementIntegrated Care and Prevention initiativesClinical supervision of traineesAlignment with values of belonging and inclusionCooperation and collaboration with professionals within the center and in key partnership officesQualifications:Counseling Psychologist: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Counseling Psychologist Senior: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree required in Psychology or Social Work, with 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania. Student Health and Counseling is seeking candidates with a solid understanding of how marginalization, inequality, and identity impact students. An understanding and foundation in multicultural counseling is strongly preferred. Experience with one or more of the following: BIPOC, LGBTQ, faith-based student concerns, eating-related concerns, and substance use is highly desirable. The position requires some flexible hours during the week to cover evening shifts, 5-7 pm.
