Core Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: ~20–22 hrs/week
  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Medication & Treatment Administration: ~5–6 hrs/week
  Administer medications and treatments, monitor effectiveness, and identify side effects.
• Patient Assessment & Monitoring: ~4–5 hrs/week
  Ongoing evaluation of patient condition, symptoms, and response to interventions.
• Patient & Family Education: ~2–3 hrs/week
  Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
• Documentation & Care Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week
  Complete nursing documentation, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and coordinate patient care.

Requirements

• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• BLS (AHA) Required
• 1+ year experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

Role Expectations

• Practice independently in a clinical setting
• Utilize the full nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Manage routine and complex patient care situations
• Delegate and supervise care appropriately
• Address psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families
• Maintain compliance with ANA standards of nursing practice
