Job Summary:
The operating room registered nurse (RN) position is located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume surgical environment that includes general surgery, robotic procedures, and trauma. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, at least 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the operating room specialty, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Skills: Experience with abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, cancer surgeries, trauma, robotic surgery using the Da Vinci Xi system, vascular procedures, and more.
• Equipment and Procedures: Proficiency with cautery, fiber optic light sources, the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, and other specialized surgical equipment.
• Other Requirements: Successful completion of pass/fail telemetry testing with strict criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart blocks, with two attempts allowed. A telemetry exam must be passed with a score of 80% or higher in both adult and pediatric exams. If failing twice, a cardiac interpretation review course certificate is required before a third attempt. Failure after three attempts results in cancellation of the assignment.
• Additional Information: The assignment start date is 06/29/2026, with orientation hours not specified. Pass / Fail testing and telemetry exams are mandatory prior to start. References must be removed from submissions.
