Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Assist licensed physical therapists in providing rehabilitative care to patients in a home health setting. Ensure patient progress and compliance with treatment plans while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Support physical therapists in implementing patient treatment plans and exercises.
• Document patient progress accurately using electronic charting systems such as Epic.
• Escort patients and set up necessary equipment for therapy sessions.
• Comply with all travel and documentation requirements, including lab work and licensing.
• Maintain accurate work history and certification records for compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

• Valid state license as a PTA, with recent Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a home health or outpatient setting.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and provide current certifications from AHA or Red Cross.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 miles; local candidates accepted at local rate.
