Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU serving adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Maintain a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU, adjusting to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, caring for up to 4-5 patients; telemetry competency and ability to read telemetry strips is required
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours/day

• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU setting
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units

• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or large community hospital setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity diagnoses such as cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, and sepsis management
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR

• Work in a dynamic, high-acuity ICU environment within a 400+ bed community facility offering exposure to a wide range of complex patient populations
