Title:                 Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering

Location:          10020 Pacific Mesa Blvd, San Diego California 92121

Shift:               1 st Shift – 6AM - 2:30PM  
2 nd Shift (3pm-11:30)

Job Description:

·         High School diploma required

·         Work experience - Medical device industry preferred but not required

·         Documentation Best Practices: Ensure compliance with Documentation Best Practices, maintaining accurate and thorough records. Ability to record data manually on data collection forms and input data using a computer. Keeps organized, accurate and detailed records of test performed

·         Laboratory Best Practices: Adhere to Good Laboratory Best Practices and safety procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

·         Chemical Handling : Ability to handle chemicals and cleaners while following all safety protocols and wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safety e.g. lab coat, gloves, protective eyewear. Training will be provided on safe handling procedures and the use of PPE.

·         Protocol/Training Understanding: Understand and follow established protocols/trainings accurately. Ability to recognize deviations from test methods/expected results.

·         Communication: Communicate any observations or anomalies found during testing promptly and clearly. Monitor test progress and keeps requestor informed.

·         Collaboration and Adaptability: Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to changes in protocols or procedures as needed.

·         Additional skills: Identifies need for escalation to supervisor and test owner. Exhibit strong attention to detail, patience, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks.

·         Requires a High School diploma. Effective verbal, written, listening, and reading skills in English.
