Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience with charge nurse and triage capabilities.

Details

• Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting serving both adult and pediatric patients
• 17 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call responsibilities required
• No floating within scope required, though candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital if needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Strong charge nurse capabilities and experience preferred
• Conscious sedation and triage experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency and urgent care to a wide range of adult and pediatric diagnoses including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric conditions
• Skills utilized may include IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, procedural sedation, and management of dysrhythmias
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous travel experience is not required
• Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting
• RTO should be no more than 5 days
• Free parking available in any unrestricted surface lot space
