Position Title: Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Verification Location: Arlington, VA Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour Schedule: DayTime Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): Designated site and weekly shift for reliable base schedule. Requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑a‑Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology‑focused office location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry points, access control activity, and visitor movement to deter unauthorized access and support site protocols for deliveries, guests, and after‑hours activity. Support day‑to‑day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, observed hazards, and policy‑related issues while providing clear directions and assistance to people on site. Minimum Requirements CPR certification is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
