Creative Technologist Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and implementation of dynamic creative, asset automation, and omnichannel campaign solutions across brands, markets, and media channels.
• Architect and build scalable creative solutions using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, APIs, data feeds, and advertising technologies.
• Lead complex programmatic, social, display, video, and digitally enabled creative campaign implementations.
• Translate creative, media, and business requirements into technical specifications, development approaches, and implementation plans.
• Conduct technical discovery and feasibility assessments, identifying dependencies, risks, platform limitations, and recommended solutions.
• Define and audit functional and non-functional requirements for ad serving, data workflows, API and product-feed integrations, asset tracking, creative authoring, measurement, scalability, and QA.
• Establish development best practices, reusable frameworks, QA standards, documentation, and repeatable delivery processes.
• Troubleshoot complex campaign and platform issues and coordinate solutions across internal teams and external technology partners.
• Build relationships with platform and technology partners and evaluate emerging advertising and creative technologies.
• Contribute to roadmaps for creative technology, campaign automation, QA automation, and product development.
• Mentor Creative Technologists and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Support experimentation, innovation, and responsible adoption of AI-enabled creative and automation capabilities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in creative technology, front-end development, advertising technology, digital production, or a related discipline, preferably in a creative, media, AdTech, or digital agency environment.
• Strong understanding of digital creative development, dynamic creative optimization, creative automation, and digital advertising production.
• Advanced HTML, JavaScript, and CSS skills for scalable, modular dynamic creative and multi-variant testing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DCO, ad-serving, or creative automation platforms such as Google Marketing Platform/Campaign Manager 360, Google Web Designer, Celtra, Smartly, Clinch, Innovid, Jivox, or Bannerflow.
• Understanding of IAB standards, digital advertising formats, specifications, and creative QA requirements across display, video, social, and programmatic environments.
• Experience integrating structured data, APIs, product feeds, or external data sources into dynamic creative experiences.
• Experience leading technically complex campaign implementations involving multiple teams, platforms, data sources, and external partners.
• Strong troubleshooting, quality assurance, technical documentation, and process-development skills.
• Working knowledge of Airtable, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, and GitHub.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to developers or Creative Technologists.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Preferred experience with REST APIs, JSON, web services, CRM data, structured data, Python, databases, content management systems, data queries, data normalization, advanced Excel, automated QA, testing frameworks, DevOps processes, AI-enabled development, and generative technologies.
• Preferred understanding of audience and identity capabilities, privacy considerations, PII, anonymized data, cookies, identity frameworks, and first-party data.
• Preferred experience evaluating technologies, conducting proofs of concept, and recommending platform or technology adoption.
