As a Banker at Woodforest National Bank, you will serve as a frontline ambassador, delivering the Woodforest Experience. Key Responsibilities Ownership Take personal responsibility for delivering strong retail performance by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions. Act with accountability in achieving individual sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and marketing outreach both inside and outside the branch. Demonstrate ownership in resolving customer inquiries or concerns at the first point of contact, utilizing internal partners as needed to ensure timely resolution. Maintain operational excellence through accurate transaction processing, account opening, and consistent adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ability to explain complex solutions in a simple to understand way. Service Deliver the Woodforest Experience by creating warm, welcoming, and personalized interactions with every customer, every day. Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand financial needs and clearly explain retail banking products, services, and digital solutions in a simple, easy-to-understand manner. Provide dependable, efficient service while maintaining professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment. Community Build strong relationships with customers, retail partners, and community members by representing Woodforest as a trusted neighborhood bank. Actively participate in local retail marketing efforts that drive branch traffic, deepen customer relationships, and support community engagement initiatives. Initiative Perform branch servicing duties including teller transactions, cash handling, balancing, ordering cash, vault activities, audits, ATM servicing, and workspace upkeep. Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy and attention to compliance standards. Follow branch security procedures and remain vigilant in protecting the bank, customers, and team members. Maintain flexibility to support additional retail branch duties and business needs as assigned. Competencies Required Must be proactive when seeking business outside of the branch. Must be open to direct coaching and feedback. Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet business needs; demonstrated reliability. Demonstrate a passion for taking care of people by exhibiting effective problem-solving abilities, the ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as internal team members. Knowledge of/or ability to quickly learn products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, as well as engaging in a sales and service process. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, follow directions, and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to understand instructions, forms, applications, and be familiar with financial statements and credit reports. Working Conditions Conditions include standing most of the time, may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
