Prepares proposals, contracts, and subcontracts Establishes project deadlines and tracks progress and follow up on all aspects of a project (deadline, permits, etc.) as well as provides weekly and/or monthly status reportsLeads kick off meetings, progress meetings, and client meetings Works with Business Development to identify, evaluate and pursue opportunities Works with team members as well as other technical staff to establish team roles, project schedule, and budget for new projectsMonitors project budgets and scope of work Reviews plans, reports and other work product to confirm that they meet the clients needsQualifications & Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan5+ years of experience in civil engineeringExperience in a project manager role for any of the following types of projects is preferred: municipal, roadway reconstruction, sanitary sewers, water mains, storm sewers, trails, traffic signals, site design for residential, commercial, educational, and industrial projectsSelf-motivated and able to work independently or with a teamGood verbal and written skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Suite programsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledDepartment: Grand Rapids Engineering Location: Grand Rapids, MI Salary: $0 - $0
