Staff Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting in monthly and annual reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile general ledger transactions through accurate journal entries.
• Lead the customer billing and invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate issuance of invoices.
• Drive revenue collection by executing cash collection protocols and resolving delinquent accounts.
• Communicate with customers regarding payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams (sales, operations, procurement) to resolve financial matters.
• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparation of profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
• Support audit processes by compiling financial records and preparing documentation.

Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in general accounting practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision (NAV) preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
