Laboratory Technician I

Overview Laboratory Technician at ALS. Responsible for various laboratory testing, following safety and quality guidelines, and producing satisfactory production levels. Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests as outlined by the SOPs. Perform all scheduled calibrations, standardization and SPC tests. Routine maintenance of testing instrumentation. Properly complete all paperwork used to track tests and their validity. Load data for tests performed. Maintain a clean, safe work area. Accurately record personal production and meet production requirements. Route samples for additional testing as outlined by SOPs. Store and dispose of samples properly. Comply with local and corporate quality assurance policies, as well as ISO 17025 lab accreditation requirements. Qualifications High School diploma or laboratory experience preferred. Working knowledge of good laboratory practice. Comfortable in high‑paced production environment. Physical Demands The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working. Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co‑workers and managers. Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware. Must have average vision and be able to read reports and operate equipment. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
