Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on the night shift. This role is essential in providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages, as well as managing newborn care. Shift Details Shift: Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) No on-call responsibilities Must work 1 major holiday if the assignment overlaps Key Responsibilities Circulate C-sections Manage high-risk labor Titrate Pitocin Interpret fetal monitoring Participate in neonatal resuscitation Provide competent postpartum/couplet care Patient Care The RN will have a patient ratio of 1:1 during labor and 3:1 for couplet care. The unit consists of 8 beds, ensuring an environment conducive to high-quality patient and newborn care. Qualifications Current RN licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA or ARC) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certification preferred Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience Previous rural hospital experience is preferred Experience within the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) model is a plus Scrub Color The required scrub color for this position is navy blue or pink. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) The facility uses GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN) for documentation, along with MedHost for orders, charges, and medication scanning.
