Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse located in San Jose, California. This position involves providing specialized care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The role requires experienced clinicians capable of managing a variety of obstetric procedures and responding to emergencies with proficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience, hold a valid California Nursing License, and possess current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with deliveries, cesarean sections, and other Labor and Delivery related procedures; team-oriented personality with strong communication skills
• Additional Information: The unit accommodates approximately 10 beds and supports a team of around 120 staff members. Typical personnel on shift include charge nurses, unit clerks, scrub techs, RNs, and sitters based on patient census. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, adherence to unit policies, and maintaining a professional dress code, including scrubs in specified colors.
