The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment for our preschool students. This role requires working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, ensuring the daily activities promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support preschool learning goals.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Observe and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to families and staff.
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive guidance techniques.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to optimize student experience and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain daily records and reports as required by the school and licensing agencies.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children, ideally in a lead teaching role.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work the full shift from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Relevant certifications and/or degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields are preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
