SVP - Head Of Publishing, Catalog

The ideal candidate for the SVP - Head of Publishing, Catalog position is a seasoned executive with substantial experience across music publishing, catalog acquisitions, and music IP management. This role leads the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of music publishing catalog acquisitions. This position will work closely with both the publishing and executive teams. The role requires deep music publishing and copyright expertise, as well as catalog valuation experience. Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and acquire high-value music publishing catalogs aligned with strategic investment objectives Build and manage a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities through industry relationships Lead due diligence on prospective acquisitions Structure, negotiate, and close complex catalog acquisition transactions Develop trusted relationships with songwriters, publishers, managers, attorneys, and advisors Partner cross-functionally to assess catalog performance, valuation, and long-term growth potential Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and valuation benchmarks to inform acquisition strategy Drive portfolio growth through disciplined deal execution and strategic market intelligence Some travel may be required Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in music publishing, catalog acquisitions, or music rights investing Strong commercial and strategic judgment Exceptional negotiation and deal-making skills Deep music publishing and copyright expertise Robust industry network and relationship-building ability Financial acumen and catalog valuation experience High integrity and discretion Excellent communication and executive presence Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously Diligent, proactive, and resourceful Passion for music and the creative process #J-18808-Ljbffr Avex Music Group
