Position Details

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit. This is a night shift position with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery nursing required.
Certifications: Current BLS and AWHONN certification required. NRP certification preferred.
License: Valid nursing license in the state of Washington (pending licenses may be submitted).

Skills Required

Proficient in antepartum and labor support techniques.
Experience with external fetal heart monitoring (EFM).
Familiarity with anticoagulation therapy and management of insulin drips and antihypertensives.
Ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and C-section circulations, as well as recovery.
Knowledge of sterile vaginal examinations and isolation precautions/PPE protocols.

Unit Information

Typical patient birth volume: 100-200 births per month.
Interdisciplinary support provided.

Additional Information

All required compliance documents are due by the Wednesday prior to the start date.
Orientation is held on Mondays from 8:30 AM to 12 PM, followed by unit-specific training until the end of the confirmed shift.
Housing in the area may be challenging; candidates should be open to commuting.
Travelers should be prepared for random drug screens and must complete new drug screenings if there is a gap of more than 30 days between assignments with the facility.
