Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Active New York RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Must have experience in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency care Description: POSITION: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Adult) Shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM Contract Length: 13 weeks Every other weekend availability is required. Must submit requests for time off upon submission. The call-off policy allows for cancellation of up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges. Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed. First-time travelers are accepted. REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS: IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care. Phlebotomy and initiating/maintaining IVs. Experience with IV vasopressors and CPAP/BiPAP. Ventilator management skills are essential. Experience in managing CVAs, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injuries. Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience in providing emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma cases. Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage. RATIOS: Patient ratios are 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with all emergency diagnoses. OTHER DETAILS: Special equipment includes Bair hugger and rapid infuser. Staffing may require floating within skill set. Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white. The emergency department is well-equipped for rapid patient care and advanced diagnostic technology. The facility is dedicated to providing a trauma suite for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
