Data Engineer (Operations & Manufacturing)

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or another related technical field.
• We are looking for 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, production support, or a similar discipline.
• We need hands-on experience designing and supporting data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.
• We require practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Monitoring.
• We expect strong SQL and Python skills, including familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn.
• We value experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and production support practices.
• We need the ability to troubleshoot complex data flows and pinpoint failure points.
• We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-moving, collaborative environment supporting business-critical systems.
• We value a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• We expect good prioritization skills, urgency, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Preferred experience includes Node-RED or similar automation tools, OSIsoft PI or industrial data historians, API integrations, Grafana, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Dataform, or Collibra.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.

• We design, build, and support data pipelines that move operational and manufacturing data from facility systems into Google Cloud Platform.
• We create dashboards, reports, and monitoring tools that improve operational visibility and pipeline health.
• We develop alerting, logging, and automation solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
• We troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality concerns, and operational incidents.
• We perform root cause analysis and implement improvements that strengthen reliability and resilience.
• We collaborate with global teams across IT, operations, engineering, and business functions.
• We prepare and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• We support data governance efforts focused on data quality and integrity.
