Security Guard

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Chesapeake, VA that is seeking a Security Guard. This will involve a blend of direct interaction & technological oversight. The Security Guard will manage visitor access & credentials using systems like CCURE, checking in authorized visitors & employees, potentially referencing pre-approved lists or generating passes via Salesforce. Responsibilities:

• Handling Communication: Answering phones, managing emails, drafting correspondence (memos, letters), and greeting visitors
• Document Management: Preparing, editing, & organizing documents, reports, presentations, & maintaining filing systems (both physical & digital)
• Office Operations: Ordering & managing office supplies, coordinating with vendors, maintaining office equipment, and handling basic bookkeeping or expense tracking
• Supporting Teams: Assisting colleagues with various administrative tasks, coordinating projects, & ensuring efficient workflow
• Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintaining databases, contact lists, & ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Handling Confidential Information: Maintaining discretion & professionalism when dealing with sensitive information
• Data Compilation: Gathering and compiling data for reports, presentations, or special initiatives
• Event Coordination: Assisting with the planning and execution of office events, meetings, or company gatherings
• Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies in administrative processes and suggesting or implementing improvements
• Managing General Inquiries: Handling general inquires from guests, visitors, contractors and employees, filtering inquiries, and ensuring they are directed to the correct person or department
• Gatekeeping: Acting as a primary point of contact, filtering calls and visitors to ensure the time of the supported individual(s) is used efficiently, and only relevant matters are escalated

Skills

• 5-8 years of experience with Customer Service and Communication Skills
• 5-8 years of experience with Observation and Situational Awareness
• 5-8 years of experience/proficiency with Microsoft Suite technology and Security applications
• Experience with Salesforce, Ccure, Microsoft

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
