RN - Peds MS Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (0645-1915) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience, Level 1 Trauma experience, ability to float to various units including surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty, hem onc, step down unit, and cardiac pediatrics. License: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association. PALS certification from the American Heart Association is required. Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience.Ability to float to acute care units.Experience with tracheostomy care, high flow oxygen, infusion therapies, and first-line skills. Description:Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients.Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.Administers medications as prescribed.Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.Delivers patient care competently.Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans during hospitalization and at discharge.Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.Delegates tasks to support staff.Performs other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
