Assistant General Manager

Downers Grove | Class A Office Building

Advance your career in commercial real estate! We are hiring an Assistant General Manager to join our property management team at our premier Class A Office Building. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills who thrives on delivering exceptional tenant relations and customer service in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing property operations, ensuring service delivery aligns with KORE standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity, championing team member engagement and wellbeing.
• Assist in preparing and managing operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, and identifying innovative approaches to optimize cost efficiencies.
• Coordinate vendor management and contract administration, ensuring compliance and quality service.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and drive efforts that contribute to our long-term success.
• Analyze property performance reports and collaborate with leadership to develop improvement strategies.
• Lead and empower team members, contributing to a workplace where diverse perspectives are welcomed.
• Assist in lease administration activities, including abstracting leases and keeping our database current.
• Responsible for aspects of development and maintenance of a comprehensive Tenant Service Package, including tenant handbooks, tenant anniversaries, holiday gifts, park events, quarterly newsletters, and training meetings or programs for tenants. Also responsible for ensuring tenant information within database is current and up to date.
• Responsible for leading regular inspections of properties with janitorial and landscape providers and any other service provider as directed by the manager.
• Coordinate all tenant move ins and move outs, including furniture delivery and pick up
• Oversee one additional smaller asset located in Skokie.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial property management, office administration, or real estate support.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork.
• Experience supporting operational and financial performance of commercial properties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new property management software.
• Vehicle and current driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Professional certification in property management (CPM, RPA, or FMP)
• Familiarity with sustainability and environmental initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and advance team performance
• Track record of driving innovative process improvements
• Illinois Broker’s License
