Research Technician - Philpot

Position Title Research Technician - Philpot Position Summary The Philpot laboratory develops therapeutics for single-gene disorders. We are seeking a research technician to perform a range of laboratory tasks and support lab management. Responsibilities include mouse behavioral experiments, organization and breeding of mouse colonies, histological assays such as immunocytochemistry, confocal microscopy, tissue collection and processing (including dissections, sectioning, and immunohistochemistry), and data analysis. The position requires animal handling and related competencies. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Management Preferences Prior laboratory experience in a related field such as microscopy, immunocytochemistry, or genotyping. Understanding of rodent behavior. Basic understanding of neuroscience. Special Physical/Mental Requirements Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours per day. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb a step ladder. #J-18808-Ljbffr
