Maintenance Worker

Abacus is looking for a Housing & Grounds Maintenance Worker in the Celina, OH area. Pay: $22.16 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Housing & Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team in Celina, Ohio. This hands‑on position is responsible for maintaining residential housing, campus grounds, and facility systems to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on residential and campus facilities. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Install and repair drywall, flooring, cabinets, countertops, doors, and hardware. Paint and maintain residential units and common areas. Service and repair appliances including refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and microwaves. Maintain landscaping and campus grounds, including snow and ice removal. Assist with apartment turnovers, inspections, and general property upkeep. Maintain maintenance records, inventories, and work orders. Work collaboratively with team members to complete maintenance and improvement projects. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of six years of experience in facilities, apartment, property, or building maintenance. Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 65 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, walk, and work in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work both indoors and outdoors. Additional Information Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call‑ins may be required.
