Pay Range: $35.81 - $53.72 per hour

This role involves performing therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality images are provided to radiologists and physicians for analysis.

• Operate cameras that detect and map radioactive substances in patients to produce diagnostic images.
• Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols.
• Adhere to radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in keeping the department clean and organized.
• Work with a constant focus on safety and alertness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Education: Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

• Frequent standing and walking.
• Regular use of vision for both near and far distances.
• Frequent oral communication and auditory skills to share information and detect alarms.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of objects weighing up to 25 lbs, as well as assisting patients.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional bending, stooping, and repetitive movements.

Must possess the following certifications based on the state of employment:

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or Temporary Accreditation - IEMA (for specific states)
