Visit peraton.com to learn how we’re keeping people around the world safe and secure.ResponsibilitiesProject Description:The team supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians.The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner.These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools.Job Description: The team is looking for someone that is knowledgeable with data enrichment/conversion methods, familiar with data ontologies/schemas, strong knowledge of structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON), and has database experience.Devise strategies to extract meaning and value from structured and unstructured dataLeverage statistical methods and/or machine learning to discover patterns and behaviors of entitiesUse query and visualization tools, such as DataXplorer and GMAE, to present question focused datasets in a story-like mannerWork with various domains of metadata to develop new methodologies and techniques for automated data characterizationAnalyze and develop requirements to support the characterization and ingestion of new and existing data typesCollaborate with customer teams to understand direct mission needs and requirementsCollaborate with customer teams to understand mission needsDesired Qualifications: Analytic development experience using scripting languages such as Python and Scala to use statistical libraries against dataSkilled with big data processing frameworks such as Pig, MapReduce and Spark to scale algorithms over large volumes of dataExperience employing combination (2 or more) of analysis, computer science, mathematics, and software engineering skills to devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasetsExperience with predictive analytics, machine learning, and data miningSkilled with data flows, Pig scripting, Hadoop MapReduce, and various analytic toolsSkilled working with development and SE teams, other stakeholders agencies, and leadershipKnowledge of data indexing and analytic developmentExperience working with cloud service providers and data stewardsDemonstrated experience in network metadata processing, manipulation, and analysis in support of intelligence analysisHighly Desired Skills:JAVA/PythonAnalytic development experienceWorking knowledge of NIFIQualificationsBasic Requirements:Active TS/SCI with current polygraph requiredAt least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolutionBachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is highly desiredA relevant bachelor’s degree will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience.At least one of the following certifications:AWS Certified Developer – AssociateAWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – AssociateAWS Certified Generative AI Developer – ProfessionalAWS DevOps Engineer – ProfessionalCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)Benefits: Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees supporting this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Target Salary Range$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
