About the Role:
MDS Construction Management LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Project Controls Scheduler to join our growing team in Jersey City, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in keeping complex construction projects on track, on time, and within scope. Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using CPM scheduling methodologies
Monitor project progress and perform schedule analysis to identify variances, trends, and critical path impacts
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule data and ensure accuracy
Prepare and distribute schedule reports, look-ahead schedules, and baseline comparisons for stakeholders
Support earned value management (EVM) and cost-loading of schedules as required
Identify schedule risks and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies
Assist in the review and analysis of contractor-submitted schedules for compliance and accuracy
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in project controls scheduling within the construction industry
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software
Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, and construction sequencing
Experience with earned value management (EVM) and cost-loaded schedules is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present schedule data to diverse stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
