Job Details Position: CVICU Registered Nurse Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Job Start Date: November 2, 2026 End Date: February 1, 2027 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 12 hours Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week Weekend Coverage: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block Orientation: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Ratio: 1:1-2 Float Requirement: May be required to float within equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 1 year of CVICU, ICU, or high-acuity critical care experience required; 2 years preferred BLS and ACLS required NIHSS certification required Epic charting experience required Previous travel nurse experience preferred Strong critical care background with comfort managing complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Ability to complete compliance and fingerprinting requirements promptly Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care for adult CVICU patients with conditions such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, ECMO, VAD support, and aortic repairs Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic instability, and complex cardiac drips in a critical care environment Perform and maintain IV access, arterial lines, central line care, and Swan Ganz monitoring Support procedures and interventions including chest tube management, sedation monitoring, and temporary pacing support Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and 12-lead EKGs while responding quickly to changes in patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting Float within the organization as needed while maintaining excellent clinical standards Adapt to a busy cardiovascular ICU with rotating holidays, weekend coverage, and a strong focus on teamwork Apply now for this CVICU Registered Nurse travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your critical care nursing career.
